Phillipsburg, KS

We moved to Great Bend, KS on wednesday for a couple nights and then up to Phillipsburg, KS.  We were able to check out the zoo in Great Bend while the guys moved equipment.

Mick and the dogs are making a quick trip home to retrieve our tractor.  Harvest should startup in a few days here.

We found a hotel with an rv park, pool and WiFi. We have spent the last few days hanging out by the pool as the equipment gets moved around.  It was 97 here yesterday but only 87 and very windy today. Max will be attending the local vacation bible camp this week for a couple hours a day he had lots of fun the first night.

An Update

We are still in Pond Creek, OK we only have a few days left here but it has rained almost every day. We were able to combine on Saturday late in the day but then another storm came thru during the night and it rained a little Sunday afternoon. The thunder is so loud here! We have had 3 severe thunderstorm warnings with high winds up to 70 mph predicted since we arrived. We have been lucky so far, but it is very nerve-wracking when you see the storm chaser vans in the area and knowing we are staying in a camper doesn’t help. We sat in our pickup out at the farm one night as a storm came thru. We have a tornado watch until 2 am Monday and it is supposed to be 97 tomorrow. We did have a little break from the heat this week.
