Our final class from Wilton course 1 was about the ribbon rose & writing. It took some practice & firm icing but I eventually got it to work the roses take some practice. We decorated a cake after our lesson. The course was well worth it. I learned a lot of new techniques and information from an experienced cake decorator. This is my cake after it has done some traveling.

Dinner in the camper
We had our camper parked in the shop for a few days and it was really getting to our 3 year old. He wanted to eat lunch in the camper so bad…so one day I made grilled cheese and tomato soup and we ate dinner in the camper. It really made his day. 
Wilton Cake Decorating Course 1 Class 3
For the 3rd Wilton class we brought cupcakes to decorate & fill. We learned about the drop flower, rosette, shell, pompon flower, leaves & shaggy mum. My pictures are from the next morning and 140 miles later so they’ve settled a bit and melted.
