On the Farm...May Field Work Week 1

May is usually very busy on the farm. Here are just a few things that happened the first week of May at Brown Acres.

Brown Acres Custom Harvester Wheat Canola Oklahoma Kansas Nebraska South Dakota Combining Cutter DSC_1904 — Our little farmer is always happy and loves to be dirty! We were getting the cultivator set to prepare for seeding.

The northern lights were putting on a show for all the farmers.

Bella joined our family around Christmas. Everything is new to her, but she is learning the ropes of farm life. She is a shetland sheepdog or sheltie for short. What a blur! This is just a little bit of what went on this week. We are also preparing to head south to Oklahoma for custom harvesting winter wheat. Brett is done with pre-school for the year and is very excited to be home to help full time on the farm! He spends most of the time with mom or dad in the tractor, unless mom is working on the camper. He loves to be in the camper!
